Precious Moment with my Elijah

We’re glad you joined our family,
Yet some things make us wonder;
How can a little package like you
Have a voice that’s loud as thunder?
You are so small and oh so cute,
But you are never very shy,
For whenever you want something brought to you,
You just open your mouth and cry.
First you moved on hands and knees,
Then you were up on your feet.
We’re chasing you all around the house;
We’re tired; we need a retreat!
Your food is smeared over the table;
Your food is on the floor;
Seems the only place food didn’t go,
Is in the baby we adore.
Diapers here and diapers there,
Stinky... smelly... Whew!
Diapers would have done us in,
If we didn’t love you as we do.
We’re glad you joined our family,
You’re a unique and wonderful treasure.
So, despite the work of raising you,
Being your parents is a total pleasure!

Word of the Day: EXPIRED

EXPIRED

Well it started when my office mate, Alfiya, said that our Department Head's father has expired this morning! I said how can she use the word expired when she means to say that someone has just died? She said that there's nothing wrong about using the word because she's right and that's how they say it when someone died... I mean expired. Still I said she's wrong because expired is only used on something which has a production date LOL (stupid me!) So to stop the argument I checked online and found this from thefreedictionary.com:

ex·pire  (k-spr)
v. ex·pired, ex·pir·ing, ex·pires
v.intr.
1. To come to an end; terminate: My membership in the club has expired.
2. To breathe one's last breath; die: The patient expired early this morning.
3. To exhale; breathe out.
v.tr.
1. To breathe (something) out.
2. Archaic To give (something) off.

Haha I didn't say a word about what I just found out and that Alfiya's right! Ok fine! :D

Saving up or just plain curiousity

Ok so one day my husband just suddenly decided to collect all the coins with him and in side our house  and took them into a big empty bottle of water. This came to me as a surprise because since the day we decided to move in together, I always find coins anywhere in our house as according to him he doesn't really like them because they're too heavy to keep them in his pocket.

Sometimes I find these coins in our drawer, above our tv cabinet, in his travel laptop bag, luggage bag and even in the toilet! But I often find them in his jeans pocket after leaving it in the laundry basket. But I guess he finally realized that instead of leaving them anywhere in the house, might just keep them inside a water bottle coin bank. He said he wants to know how much coins can fill up the water bottle  and unlike other people who does the same, he keeps track on how much coins he drops into the bottle, he counts them first, writes them down on that small piece of paper on the bottle and then adds them up to the previous count.Genius!

And hey, a few days ago I saw it featured in 7days newspaper as well!

On the other hand, I'm getting a lot of coins from selling refreshments in our warehouse and when my hubby found out about this he asked me to give them all to him in exchange of notes (Sorry about the messy office desk drawer).

So now I wonder if he really wants to save up or he just simply wants to find out how much coins can fill up the water bottle or maybe both? Well I wish you goodluck babe, I hope you can also drop some dirham notes occasionally and not just coins alone ;)

Weekend | 110311

In spite of a late night out, I was waken up early around 7am by my husband who for some reason decided to watch a movie inside our bedroom then played football on his PS3 while I was still sleeping. I was a bit annoyed because one of the 5 speakers he placed inside our room is literally right next to me on my side of the bed!

So I head out to our kid's bedroom to lay down beside my angels but I didn't want to disturb them and since my eldest, Calix has already gone out of his bed, I decided to lay down there instead and went back to sleep. But then again, after about maybe 30 minutes of sleep, I heard my husband saying "lazy bum!" at me, picked up my youngest baby Eli and brought him to me! I think redbull has definitely made my husband go insane, LOL!  And yesterday, he drank about 12 cans of redbull!

Anyway, I finally decided to get up and play with my kids. Then we went out to our garden so they can go swimming in their inflatable blow up mini pool. In the afternoon, we went to Sarah's birthday party and Calix got a spider man face paint. (I have his finished face paint at home and will just upload it later,sorry)
We got back home around 8pm and my husband asked me if I wanted to watch a movie in the cinema. When he checked the Battle: Los Angeles is already out, he immediately booked our seats online, got ready and then we left home and drove to Mirdif City Centre. The movie lasted for almost 2 hrs and my rating is 6 out of 10. I think I fell asleep in between specially because I was all snuggled up on the reclining arm chair with adjustable footrests hehe. And my food didn't turn up as well! I decided not to press the button which the movie goers can summon the staffs that serve food because there's no point anymore the movie is already half way!

But all in all, it was another great weekend well spent with my family!

The OMG Experience

Well as you can see, the pictures were taken using only my phone camera which really sucks! I left my DSLR in my car because I can't be bothered to go back to the parking lot in case they did not allow me to bring it in.
But I guess these event organizers doesn't really stick to their policies. I've seen a lot of people who brought their big cameras with huge lenses! I could have taken  better pictures even close up clicks of Usher if I brought mine too :( But it doesn't really matter anymore, I'm just happy that I am one of the lucky ones who got the chance to see Usher and watch him perform live here in Dubai.

 We were near the front pit area and check out the huge extra space! They could have at least adjusted the barricades that separates regular from front pit area so more people (like me) can catch a closer glimpse of Usher LOL!

Hey I got 21+ wristband! I hope next time they no longer have to ask for my ID or passport because surely I already look like 21+ haller?!?! (I've taken this when I got home)

And of course my friend, Tracy ley who can't wait to go home to soak her feet in warm water haha! X

And if you wanna watch (really far) videos I've taken, visit my YouTube channel HERE! Enjoy!
